Core performance characteristics

1. High temperature resistance performance (core advantage)

Glass transition temperature (Tg): approximately 217 ° C, which is the upper temperature limit for maintaining mechanical strength.

Hot deformation temperature (HDT): up to 210 ° C under a load of 1.8 MPa, and can be used continuously for a long time in an environment of 170-180 ° C.

Thermal stability: It can withstand higher temperatures in the short term and has minimal creep at high temperatures, with very stable dimensions.

2. Mechanical strength and rigidity

High rigidity: The bending modulus is about 8960 MPa, and the tensile strength is about 170 MPa, which is close to the texture of metal.

Brittle increase: Due to the presence of 30% fiberglass, its toughness has decreased compared to pure PEI, with a fracture elongation of only about 3%, exhibiting a hard and brittle characteristic.

3. Flame retardancy and safety (intrinsic flame retardancy)

No need to add flame retardants: The material itself has extremely high flame retardancy, with a maximum oxygen index (LOI) of 47-50%.

Certification level: UL94 V-0 level (thinnest up to 0.25mm), with extremely low smoke emission and low toxicity, commonly used in harsh scenarios such as aviation and high-speed rail.

4. Electrical and chemical properties

Insulation: High volume resistivity (about 3 × 10 ¹⁶Ω· cm), high dielectric strength, suitable for high-voltage connectors and coil skeletons.

Chemical resistance: resistant to hydrocarbons, alcohols, weak acids, especially hot water and steam (suitable for repeated steam disinfection).

5. Dimensional stability

Low shrinkage rate: Injection molding shrinkage rate is only 0.2% -0.4%, with extremely high dimensional accuracy.

Low moisture absorption: The 24-hour water absorption rate is about 0.16%, and the saturated water absorption rate is about 0.9%. It is not easily deformed in humid environments.

• Heat resistant fasteners: screws, nuts, washers (machined parts) that maintain pre tightening force at high temperatures.

• Sensor housing: High temperature resistant components around the engine.

• Pump valve impeller/gear: corrosion-resistant and hot water resistant, used in chemical processes or hot water circulation pumps.

• Automotive engine sensor bracket: resistant to high temperature aging in the engine compartment.
