With a melting point of 343°C and a glass transition temperature of 143°C, PEEK resin rods offer continuous service at 250°C–260°C and short term can reach 300°C, while retaining excellent mechanical strength and dimensional stability.
Under the ASTM D671 standard, pure PEEK resin material can withstand alternating bending stresses of approximately 41–48 MPa for up to 10⁶–10⁷ cycles without fatigue failure under ambient dry conditions.
Furthermore, being fiber-free, pure PEEK resin exhibits higher chemical purity and inertness. Its dense matrix structure prevents capillary penetration, making it significantly more resistant to chemical attack and corrosion compared to reinforced grades.
